Meet the founder

Keep Collective is run by me, Georgie Carter. I make every single garment from my home studio on the Isle of Wight.

What started off as a hobby soon became a passion. Shunning fast fashion and plastic ridden high street garbs, I started making my own clothes from natural textiles found in charity shops and second hand outlets. I soon amassed quite the collection of vintage textiles and deadstock fabrics so decided to start making for others too.

Every piece is made from textiles saved from landfill. These garments are all one offs or small batch collections which honour the beautiful craftmanship of the original textile through a contemporary lens.

I also runs sewing workshops locally on the Isle of Wight and Hampshire and will be returning to Goodwood Revival 2026 to run a hand sewing workshop.

Sustainability

Keep Collective is about cherishing the textiles we already have in circulation. By taking post-consumer textiles, which would otherwise go to landfill, Keep Collective is helping to reduce the waste created by the fashion industry. Making something unique and beautiful out of pre-loved and vintage, natural textiles is key to creating a sustainable wardrobe which is good for us and our planet.
